Headache treatment can be extremely overwhelming as headaches involve several different body systems and affect up to 75% of people. This course will provide you with a starting point of where to treat when patients describe head and face pain, then effective techniques allowing you to give them more headache free days.

Over this 1-day course, we’ll take a common condition that’s not commonly treated by therapists and show you how to become comfortable treating it. Treatment approaches include Muscle Energy Technique (MET) to the cervical spine, myofascial release to the neck and head, posture retraining and review of other causes/treatments in a comprehensive approach. This course is evidence-based and every technique is repeated multiple times so you have the chance to perfect them. You’ll walk away with a strong foundation for treatment of the head and neck!

Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

• Confidently differentiate musculoskeletal headaches from other common headache presentations to guide appropriate treatment decisions.
• Identify the joint and myofascial dysfunctions that commonly contribute to headaches and neck pain.
• Perform evidence-based manual therapy techniques to improve cervical mobility, reduce muscular tension, and address the underlying source of headache symptoms.
• Select the most effective treatment approach based on each patient’s symptoms, movement impairments, and clinical presentation.
• Apply a comprehensive treatment strategy that helps reduce headache frequency and intensity while improving function and quality of life.
