OVERVIEW

2027 Leadership Incident Fortification Training (LIFT) Institute is organized by Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) and will be held from Feb 06 - 12, 2027 at Oglebay Park Resort, Wheeling, West Virginia, United States of America.

Description:
Incidents that occur in the EMS, critical care, and air medical communities often involve no-knock/no-notice response, multiple jurisdictions, multiple regulatory agencies, tremendous tasking, heavy resourcing, high consequence personnel and public implications, competing priorities, and the expectation to return to normal operations as prudently as possible.

Even leaders who have experience in responding to one or more incidents recognize that no incident is like another.  As with any complex set of challenges, collaboration is key. The industry would benefit from the collective wisdom of the entire community to better prepare for future incidents and to support each other before, during, and after such incidents. Sentinel events, as well as associated ceremonies, require support in the form of trauma-informed and culturally competent collaboration.

LIFT provides an opportunity to serve as a central repository for lessons learned and best practices, along with creating a venue for industry dialog and dissemination of tools, resources, and support necessary for effective crisis management.
