Description:
A 4 hour CE program on the ergonomic and well-being foundations of a long pediatric dental career. Two lectures, one goal: helping pediatric dental clinicians practice comfortably and sustainability for the long haul. Practical strategies, ergonomic tools, and well-being frameworks to support a durable career in pediatric dentistry. Katrina Klein, RDH, CEAS, CPT will give a three hour lecture entitled "Ergonomics in Dentistry. Jessica Webb, DDS will lecture for one hour on “Sustainability in Pediatric Dentistry.”

Course Objectives: 

• Explore risk factors for work related pain for the dental clinician
• Identify practical solutions for a correct workspace
• Identify how to practice comfortably to reduce fatigue and promote safety
• Discover posture enhancing strengthening exercises for injury prevention
• Practice workday stretches of chronically tight muscles that can be done chairside
• Understand ergonomic equipment, and how it works to prevent injury
