VII Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) LATAM Congress is organized by Department of Immunology & Microbiology University of Copenhagen, Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO), Latin American Perfusion Association / Asociacion Latinoamericana de Perfusion (ALAP) and will be held from Nov 05 - 07, 2026 at InterContinental Costa Rica at Multiplaza Mall, an IHG Hotel, San jose, San Jose, Costa Rica.

Description:
The conference will feature a variety of scientific sessions, practical workshops, and presentations by leading figures in the field of ECLS. Over the course of three intensive days, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in discussions on key topics, including the physiology of cardiogenic shock, acute respiratory failure, the pathophysiology of ARDS, and ECMO modalities. In addition, crucial aspects such as hemodynamic monitoring, neuromonitoring, anticoagulation in ECMO, and complications associated with the use of this technology will be addressed.

With a comprehensive approach, the conference will include discussions on ECMO ethics, humanization in healthcare, and the use of ECMO in critical situations, such as cardiac arrest and transport. Groundbreaking research on heart and lung transplantation, as well as mechanical ventilation in ECMO and ARDS, will also be presented.
