OVERVIEW

Ultrasound-Guided Interventional Pain Management Procedures is organized by Empire Medical Training and will be held on Aug 23, 2026 at The Westin Galleria Houston, Houston, Texas, United States of America.

Description:
Image guidance is now becoming a necessity in relation to reimbursement for pain management procedures, without ultrasound guidance as part of your procedure the reimbursement is cut in half in many cases. Increase your reimbursement and refine your Pain Management technique by performing soft tissue and joint injections using ultrasound guidance within your practice

Empire Medical understands the changing healthcare standards for administering pain management injections and has created this Pain Management workshop for physicians who want to incorporate the latest technologies and improve their standard of care in their practice. During this 1-Day intensive Pain Management Ultrasound Training course, we present the most common orthopedic indications for which image guided (ultrasound) injections can be used. This includes acute, subacute, and chronic conditions.

During this specialty pain management course study you will become proficient in performing these various injections for all the large joints (shoulder, hip, and knee), as well as sacroiliac joint and focused small joints.

Activity Overview:
This course is specifically designed for Practitioners to learn how to utilize ultrasound with different aesthetic procedures such as Dermal Filler injections, PDO Threads and other aesthetic
procedures.

Ultrasound Guided Interventional Pain Management Procedures Workshop Objectives
Upon Completion of this program, the physician should be able to:

  • Practice performing MSK ultrasound for joints (bursa) and soft tissues such as tendons and muscles. Each participant will understand and learn how to position the transducer to ensure proper placement of needle injection.
  • Practice simulated procedures for the injection in soft tissues and joints (bursa) competently, safely, and effectively for their patient using sonography as image guidance for placement.
  • Describe the limitations and clinical uses as well as the mechanism of action for ultrasound sonography and its benefits to patients in an office setting. Identify various bone and soft tissue structures and characteristics associated with the diagnosis of inflamed soft tissue.
  • Identify who will benefit from and a candidate diagnostically or therapeutically from image guidance, patient benefits over palpation for injection, and diagnostic interpretation of certain pain conditions using sonography to verify functional tests. Increase patient awareness and benefits associated with sonography for pain conditions and offer enhanced patient care in relation to this non-invasive, non-surgical procedure.
