OVERVIEW

The Point of Fusion: Where the Biological, Prosthodontic, and Digital Worlds Meet to Enhance Long-Term Stability in Implant Dentistry is organized by ZimVie Inc. and will be held from Oct 09 - 10, 2026 at ZimVie Institute West, Carlsbad, California, United States of America.

Program Description:

With the evolution of implant dentistry, restoring a single tooth or a full mouth has become increasingly predictable. However, certain intangible factors must be addressed to ensure both prosthetic and biological stability. From planning and execution to prosthetic design, digital technology has enhanced the predictability of treatment outcomes. Nevertheless, today’s implant dentist must understand key perio-prosthodontic principles to fully leverage these technological advancements and support long-term success in implant therapy. This presentation will illustrate the integration of biological, prosthetic, and digital concepts to help develop protocols that promote implant stability and success.

This immersive hands-on workshop bridges the gap between science and execution by integrating biological, prosthetic, and digital workflows into a practical, repeatable treatment approach. Participants will work through real clinical cases in small-group stations, evaluating biological risk factors, designing restorations with long-term stability in mind, and executing comprehensive digital treatment plans using advanced planning tools. From soft-tissue management and implant positioning to emergence profile design and prosthetic decision-making, clinicians will gain the confidence and clarity needed to build implant solutions that last.

Program Objectives:
At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:

  • Identify key perio-prosthetic principles that contribute to a stable peri-implant environment.
  • Establish effective planning protocols using both analog and digital tools to meet biological and prosthetic requirements for implant success.
  • Understand essential concepts in abutment design and selection, utilizing CAD-CAM technology to support peri-implant stability.
