OVERVIEW

The 22nd Annual High-Risk Fetal Imaging & Perinatal Update Conference is organized by University of Colorado, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and will be held from Oct 09 - 10, 2026 at Anschutz Health Sciences Building, Aurora, Colorado, United States of America.

Description:
Ultrasound is used throughout pregnancy to screen for both fetal anomalies and maternal conditions that increase the risk of pregnancy complications. Screening ultrasounds are often performed in the office of the OB generalist, where exposure to fetal and maternal anomalies is limited compared to the offices of maternal-fetal medicine specialists. The 22nd Annual High-Risk Fetal Imaging & Perinatal Update Conference will provide education in the identification and management of fetal, placental, and maternal anomalies through the use of obstetric ultrasound. It will also provide guidance for referral to a specialist for further evaluation and management of high-risk obstetric conditions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Interpret obstetric ultrasound images and perform accurate cervical length measurements in accordance with current best practices.
  • Optimize obstetric ultrasound images to enhance diagnostic sensitivity and specificity.
  • Identify fetal growth restriction and describe the sonographic parameters that guide appropriate delivery timing.
  • Recognize fetal cardiac and structural abnormalities and appropriately determine when referral to higher-level care or specialty evaluation is indicated.
