This theme captures the individuality, globality and interconnectedness of adolescents and communities around the world. For the conference we will highlight speakers and science that acknowledges adolescence as a time for growth through a synthesis of opposites - autonomy-relatedness, family-peers, freedom-restriction, stability-change, individual-collective. Through bridging seemingly opposite concepts and constructs, we advance our understanding of adolescence to reach our common goal of enhancing the well-being of all youth.
