Description:
This course provides learners with a deep understanding of ultrasound image acquisition and interpretation in the critical care setting. Didactic presentations combined with extensive hands-on practice will provide the knowledge of practical ultrasound skills. This comprehensive curriculum focuses on fundamental and advanced ultrasound techniques. The topics of the course include cardiac output, left/right ventricular function, focused assessed transthoracic echocardiography (FATE) examination, vascular ultrasound, and much more. Hands-on training will include utilizing state-of-the-art equipment under expert supervision and using real-life scenarios that simulate critical cases to enhance your problem-solving abilities. Led by expert instructors, the acquired practical skills will increase patient outcomes, including more efficient diagnoses. Networking opportunities are available to connect with fellow peers and experts throughout the course. This aims to enhance professional profiles and further career opportunities in the field.

Objectives:

  • Identify the basic and most commonly used advanced CCEcho modalities in ICU Care.
  • Demonstrate steps and techniques of Cardiac, Lung, Vascular, and Abdominal Ultrasound.
  • Develop the skills necessary to perform and interpret ultrasound imaging.
