Running is incredibly popular and, according to the RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment), has been in the top three of most practiced sports for decades. While running offers numerous positive health benefits, it also carries a high risk of injury (RIVM).
Furthermore, good running technique is essential for many sports, such as football, hockey, and korfball.
As a (sports) physiotherapist you play an essential role in the recovery of injured runners and athletes.
In this course, you'll learn how to effectively and purposefully guide your injured runners toward a completely pain-free and sustainable recovery. As a (sports) physiotherapist, you can also play a key role in actively preventing injuries and optimizing running performance.
Goal
After this practical course, you will have extensive knowledge and skills in running as a (sports) physiotherapist. You will be able to perform a detailed running analysis and effectively address both injuries and performance improvements in runners and recreational athletes. This will further enhance your profile as a specialist for injured recreational athletes and runners.
