Description:

Preshospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provider Refresher course promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care and stresses treatment of multisystem trauma in the field. PHTLS builds upon each participant’s current knowledge base and skills to enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills and stresses teamwork between providers with diverse levels of knowledge, skills, and resources. PHTLS is appropriate for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and other prehospital providers. Individuals who have successfully completed the PHTLS or ITLS Provider course within the past 4 years prior to the Refresher course, and can provide a copy of the valid PHTLS or ITLS Provider certificate/wallet card as record to the Atlantic Training Center are eligible to register for this course.
