Description:
As an ASA endorsed program, the Duke University Human Simulation and Patient Safety Center is offering a one-day simulation training course in anesthesia crisis management that fulfills the simulation training requirement for Part IV (Practice Performance Assessment & Improvement) of Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology® (MOCA ®).

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Develop a practice improvement plan to be submitted to the ABA.
• Manage a patient undergoing hemodynamic and/or respiratory critical events in the perioperative setting.
• Describe effective teamwork, leadership, and communication skills required in crisis management.
