OVERVIEW

Introduction to Hands-On Ultrasound for Beginning Clinicians is organized by Keith Mauney & Associates (KMA) Ultrasound Training Institutes and will be held from Dec 04 - 05, 2026 at Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-Irving-Las Colinas, Irving, Texas, United States of America.

Description:
Ultrasound can feel intimidating at first. The images are unfamiliar, the controls seem endless, and many teaching environments assume prior knowledge that newer learners simply haven’t had the chance to build yet. We do things differently.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll step into a calm, supportive learning environment where nothing is assumed and everything is explained. Ultrasound is not taught here as a collection of tricks or shortcuts, but as a logical, physical skill—one you can feel, see, and understand in real time.

You’ll learn how to hold the probe with purpose, orient yourself confidently within anatomy, and recognize normal structures before pathologic ones are ever introduced. Doppler is taught as part of this same continuum—not as an advanced add-on, but as a natural extension of understanding motion, flow, and physiology at the bedside.

Nearly every minute of the course is devoted to guided, hands-on scanning. Short, clear teaching segments connect anatomy, physics, and instrumentation directly to what your hands are doing on the patient. You are never left wondering why something looks the way it does—or how to reproduce it again later.

This Course is different because it removes intimidation without sacrificing rigor. We teach ultrasound as a physical, logical skill—built through guided scanning, not passive watching.
Nothing is assumed. Every image is explained. Doppler is introduced as a natural extension of anatomy and physiology, not an advanced add-on. Small classes, real patients, and lifetime support ensure confidence that endures far beyond the course.
