International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS) 27th Annual World Congress is organized by International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS), Spanish Society of Psycho-oncology / Sociedad Espanola de Psicooncologia (SEPO), Bco Congresses and will be held from Nov 08 - 12, 2026 at Hotel Barceló Sants, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

Theme: Towards a sustainable psycho-oncology: of all and for all

Description:
In the twenty-first century, there is no longer any doubt about the need to address the psychological aspects of cancer patients and their families, nor about the necessity of incorporating it in patient care throughout the entire cancer journey. It is time to make psycho-oncology a reality across the entire healthcare and social support network for people living with cancer all over the world.

The clinical course of oncology has become more complex, and with every new milestone, we encounter new psycho-social challenges. Undoubtedly, one of these challenges is being able to provide all patients with psychological support and to intervene in the design of all programmes and campaigns related to cancer. We aim to promote topics that help us debate and consider how to make this possible, since psycho-oncology is now recognised as a human right. Making it sustainable means intervening from public education campaigns through the screening and early diagnosis, to every vital moment for the patient, from the beginning of their journey to survivorship and to the end of life.
