This short-term radiology fellowship in Barcelona covers the essentials in computed tomography of the chest. The training provides basic and advanced knowledge through lectures, followed by individual case readings and group case discussions.

This CT course, by Prof. Pierre-Yves Brillet and Dr Fredrik Ahlfors (MD), covers key chest CT topics and provides basic and advanced knowledge to improve reporting.

Radiologists who would like to become more confident in reporting chest CT will find the fellowship useful for their daily practice. This intensive programme aims to provide participants with advanced knowledge on the topic and give you confidence in your reports. The quizzes aim to overcome the main pitfalls of chest CT and improve the speed of interpretation.

The limited number of participants (maximum 10) in a stressless environment will enhance and strengthen your learning experience. In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentors.

Learning Objectives:

  • To know the basics of interpretation: anatomy, definitions and terms, semiology
  • To recall the clinical and radiological keys to the most common chest diseases likely to correspond to frequent requests from clinicians
  • To improve your reports in acute (infection, vascular diseases) or chronic diseases (nodule/cancer, diffuse interstitial pneumonia) or in the case of an incidentaloma

Program will Include:

  • Lectures illustrated by clinical cases or quizzes
  • Key points and differential diagnoses of most frequent pulmonary diseases
  • Tips to improve and fasten your reporting
  • Workstations provided by TMC for the training week
  • Access to all course materials via TMC Academy training platform, including cases in Dicom format
  • Daily lunches, coffee breaks, and a special welcome drink with your peers and radiologist mentors
  • Plenty of time for Q&A with the specialized radiologist mentors
  • Certificate of attendance - An application has been made to the UEMS/EBR for CME accreditation for this radiology course
