OVERVIEW

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) Infection Prevention Champion Program is organized by Hartford HealthCare (HHC) and will be held on Jun 10, 2026 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America.

Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  • Educate on the fundamentals of infection prevention in the acute care setting
  • Highlight best practice standards utilized at HH to prevent hospital acquired infections
  • Share available resources for education and best practice support including, but not limited to Elsevier and current policy/protocol
  • Develop partnership with front-line nurses to promote compliance with best practice
  • Staff demonstrate competency through simulation and return demonstration activities.

Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 6.75 ANCC contact hours.

Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 6.75 hours of education. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
