Fundamentals of Point of Care Ultrasound is organized by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) and will be held on Jun 06, 2026 at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens: Emergency Room, Jamaica, New York, United States of America.

Description:
This course is designed to educate and review the basic and advanced principles of bedside POCUS via hands on practical lab experience. In addition, the course will provide instructions on the use of ultrasound for vascular access and MSK joint injections. The curriculum has been set up to provide each participant the opportunity to review pathology via imaging interpretation as well as participant to faculty ratio of 3:1. Live models are provided so that a real-life experience is achieved.

Objectives:

  1. To improve technical skills by proper use of ultrasound equipment
  2. To obtain adequate image acquisition and ability to interpret
  3. To advance ability to integrate POCUS into clinical practice to facilitate formulating diagnosis
  4. Facilitate critical thinking by implementing ultrasound-based algorithms for diagnosis
