Course Description: 
Functional Examination & Exercise Prescription for the Shoulder is a one-day course focused on functional movement examination and advanced exercise prescription for patient/clients with shoulder conditions. Key topics include upper extremity biomechanics, examination, exercise prescription and programming principles, and exercise progressions and regressions.

Course Objectives: 
Course attendees will:

• Understand upper quarter posture and biomechanics and their influence on pain and function
• Describe principles of exercise prescription and develop a framework for exercise programming
• Demonstrate proper performance of upper extremity mobility and strengthening exercises
• Evaluate isolated and integrated shoulder movements
• Evaluate the performance of upper extremity exercises.
