Fluoroscopy Lumbar Spine and Joint Injection Workshop is organized by EPIX CME and will be held on Aug 22, 2026 at EPIX CME Headquarters, Cary, North Carolina, United States of America.
Description:
This one-day, certified CME program begins with a comprehensive refresher on injection techniques for large and medium joints, followed by lumbar spine epidural and facet joint procedures, with an emphasis on fluoroscopic image generation and optimization.
The first half of the course focuses on optimizing X-ray beam settings to produce the clearest possible musculoskeletal (MSK) images. Participants will learn to identify key anatomical landmarks for large and medium joints and will then practice joint injection techniques under fluoroscopic guidance.
The second half of the course explores advanced lumbar spine procedural skills, including epidural injections, interlaminar and transforaminal injections, lumbar facet joint injections, median branch blocks, and lumbar radiofrequency (RF) ablation techniques.
Participants will gain extensive hands-on experience performing lumbar spine and joint injections using silicone and rubber anatomical models, porcine cadaver specimens, and real-time fluoroscopic dye visualization under C-arm guidance.
