FCS MSK-P2 The Musculoskeletal System: Periosteum, Part 2 is organized by The Jones Institute and will be held from Oct 23 - 25, 2026 at Horizons Therapy, Inc., Waynesboro, Virginia, United States of America.
Description:
FCS MSK-P2 builds upon the knowledge and skills gained in MSK-P1 to include periosteal treatments for the spine, sacrum, ribs, and pelvic girdle. These treatments are invaluable for both sports medicine and chronic pain therapists due to the prevalence of these dysfunctions, their impact on neighboring tissues (musculature, dura, and nerves), and their extreme nociceptive potential. This course expands the existing vertebral body and rib techniques to include novel techniques for spinous processes, transverse processes, sacrum, and pelvic bones. Treatments include superior/inferior pelvic shears, anterior/posterior ischial rotations, and ilium (acetabular) lateral distractions and medial compressions. Dysfunctions of the C1-C3, C7-T1, and S1-S2 spinous/transverse process can cause significant dural tethering and are recognized as primary contributors to severe neurological disorders including dysautonomia, tethered cord syndrome, functional neurological disorder, and a wide array of chronic pain conditions.
