Fascial Node Trigger Point Needling Workshop 2026 is organized by AcuMed: Integrated Structural Acupuncture and will be held on Jun 03, 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton Nashua, Nashua, New Hampshire, United States of America.
Description:
Dr. Audette will develop the theory behind an acupuncture tensegrity approach to dry needling for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. This approach will be applied to a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including those of the neck, shoulder, back, hips, and pelvic girdle. Neurological conditions such as vertigo and headache will also be covered. The hands-on practicums will develop practical skills with trigger point needling techniques.
Membrane tension has been proposed to be important in regulating cell functions such as endocytosis and cell motility and communication. In complex macrostructures such as the muscle and fascia, interlocking nodes can develop a dysfunctional amount of stress. Areas of nodal stress correspond to locations where there is a high level of potential energy that respond more readily to needle stimulation. The focus of the symposium will be to teach participants to recognize common areas of nodal stress that prevent recovery from musculoskeletal injuries and other medical conditions. Participants will learn to apply an acupuncture approach to nodal point needling to deactivate and restore equilibrium to the structure. In addition, we will teach how to integrate the Very Point® Technique, a method developed by the German Master Physician Acupuncturist, Jochen Gleditsch, to segmentally desensitize the region of pain or dysfunction so that better long-term results are achieved.
The program starts with a virtual component of archived lecture material to prepare participants for the live hands-on portion of the course. The live session will give participants the opportunity to practice the techniques. Participants will be able to apply these skills immediately upon return to their own clinic.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:
CEU: 17 (9 hours of online didactic learning followed by 8 hours of clinical training)
