With FAKTR, we apply the latest research on the study of soft tissue manipulation, especially in relation to human performance and well-being. Many clinicians often seek non-invasive treatment options for athletes and active individuals that achieve rapid positive results with minimal expenditures of time and resources. The FAKTR System utilizes multiple soft tissue mobilization techniques, including our foundation of IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) with functional rehabilitation to improve range-of-motion, strength, edema and healing through treatment in positions of provocation and motion as opposed to the traditional “static soft-tissue treatment” model.

Sports practitioners in particular are often performing treatments in locker rooms, on side-lines or in non-clinical settings without the ability to use expensive equipment or therapeutic modalities. The FAKTR rehabilitation system can be applied with or without instruments and with very simplistic rehab equipment such as physioballs, stability pads latex bands and loops, etc.

Those attending will learn to approach musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain differently. If you do not know how to utilize either manual or IASTM, you will be shown various hand strokes, hand holds as well as different forms of manual treatment, but that is simply one treatment option you’ll get to experience in our course. During class, you’ll have also an opportunity to utilize joint compression flossing, dynamic myofascial decompression (cupping), biomechanical taping with Dynamic Tape (no, not kinesiology tape) all while doing a variety of functional rehabilitative exercises.
