The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Dentistry’s Continuing Dental Education Office and the General Dentistry Department presents the Expanded Functions for the Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) certification CE course in the field of Prosthetic Dentistry.
This program is authorized and governed by the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry, which allows certification in the prescribed areas of training by the Continuing Dental Education Office.
The CDE office is accredited by the American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognized Program (ADA CERP). The Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition (CCEPR) is an agency of the American Dental Association with authority to formulate and adopt requirements, guidelines and procedures for the recognition of continuing dental education providers, and to approve providers that meet rigorous standards for quality.
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry- Office of Continuing Dental Education is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The current term of approval for the UTHSC College of Dentistry CDE office extends from May 2024 to December 2027.
All certification courses have been approved by the CDE Office to provide by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry.
