OVERVIEW

Clinical Occlusion Course is organized by Stevenson Dental Solutions and will be held from Aug 08 - 09, 2026 at Stevenson Dental Solutions, San Dimas, California, United States of America.

Description:
This course focuses on the diagnosis and management of occlusal issues, helping dentists understand why restorations fail, how wear patterns develop, and when referral to a TMD specialist is appropriate. The hands-on portion covers esthetically derived facebow records, deprogrammers, centric relation records, and equilibration.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Apply comprehensive diagnostic principles to identify restorative risk factors.
  2. Record centric relation accurately and determine when a CR record is indicated.
  3. Assess VDO and justify when to restore versus maintain it.
  4. Plan prosthodontic-style treatment while selecting strategies aligned with clinical comfort and competence.
  5. Integrate diagnostic findings into a risk-based restorative treatment plan.
  6. Use a structured critical-thinking process to evaluate multiple restorative options and choose predictable clinical pathways.
  7. Sequence complex treatment into simplified, phased clinical steps.
