OVERVIEW

Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) 2026 West Coast Winter Conference is organized by Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) and will be held from Jan 15 - 18, 2026 at Cannon Beach Conference Center, Cannon Beach, Oregon, United States of America.

Objectives:

  • Analyze age-appropriate strategies with healthcare professionals to help them protect their own children and grandchildren from dangerous ideologies.
  • Identify psychological inoculation techniques used to protect children from unwanted ideological persuasion.
  • Identify the dangers to children when we misunderstand or underestimate how they can be victimized by marriage, cohabitation, divorce, modern families, IVF, sperm/egg donation, surrogacy, and adoption.
  • Describe current evidence on the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children raised in diverse family structures, including marriage, cohabitation, divorce, adoption, and assisted reproduction.
  • Identify key risk and protective factors influencing child development across different family contexts.
  • Identify areas of ethical controversy in novel methods of technologically enhanced organ procurement.
  • Evaluate world views which can be helpful to navigate rapidly changing culturally informed definitions of life and death.
  • Recognize how patients’ worldviews about life’s origin, meaning, and destiny influence medical decision-making and coping.
  • Apply principles of virtue ethics—particularly humility, empathy, and prudence—in conversations that involve science, faith, and existential meaning.
  • Demonstrate communication strategies that build trust and foster mutual understanding when discussing scientifically and spiritually sensitive topics.
  • Reflect on how clinician's moral and philosophical beliefs shape their approach to healing, suffering, and professional integrity.

Accreditation: Christian Medical & Dental Associations is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
