Seminars:
Making Implant Dentistry, Simple, Predictable and Profitable for the General Practitioner. Prevention and Management of Dental Implant Complications:
About the Seminar:
Recent technologies continue to revolutionize implant dentistry. This has benefited every phase of treatment from diagnosis and treatment planning to computer generated guided surgical implant placement, to provision and custom abutment fabrication. Cone beam computerized technology CT has brought the power of three-dimensional imaging to the dental office. There is a tremendous difference between 2-D and 3-D radiographic diagnosis. The use of CBCT leads to increased precision, accuracy, and efficiency of implant placement. This course will also include a discussion of oral surgical extraction techniques and demonstrates a step-by-step approach to socket grafting that the general dentist can incorporate into his or her practice.

Course Content:
Success rates with Implant dentistry have been increasing with improving techniques. More and more Implants are being placed with the advent of local courses and mini residencies, etc. As with any procedure, along with the increase in numbers, comes an increase in complications. In the future, we will be faced with increases in the number of complications. It is not only necessary to know how to place implants, but how to treat the complications associated with the procedure.  Complications can be surgical or restorative in nature. This course will focus on diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of common implant complications including peri-implantitis through a methodical scientifically based step-by-step approach that every clinician can use in their office.

  • Oral surgical extraction and socket grafting techniques.
  • Learn of the advances in implant placement and computer guided surgery.
  • In-office scanning protocols which allow guide fabrication and precise implant placement, conventional impression techniques compare them to digital impressions and become familiar with the digital workflow process.

Learning Objectives:
The participants will be able to discuss:
