Capillary microscopy is a proven and highly effective method for diagnosing and monitoring the progression of various rheumatic diseases. This method is particularly informative and well-evaluated in the differential diagnosis of Raynaud's phenomenon and systemic sclerosis.
The "Capillary Microscopy" course was developed by experienced experts for the Rheumatology Academy on behalf of the German Society for Rheumatology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Rheumatologie e. V.)
. It is primarily aimed at physicians in residency training in the fields of rheumatology, dermatology, and angiology, as well as all other medical professionals who wish to acquire knowledge of capillary microscopy.
The course content includes the acquisition of fundamental knowledge as well as instruction on
determining indications, the practical execution of the examination, and the interpretation of the findings. In addition, current scientific data on capillaroscopy and microangiopathy will be presented. A core component of the course is the independent learning of microscopic examination techniques, during which various findings can be obtained from patients. In the practical section, participants can learn the examination independently under guidance. Any questions that arise will be discussed directly.
