Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) 2026 Annual Conference

Accreditation:
In support of improving patient care, the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

To obtain continuing education credit: Certificates of Completion/Attendance are provided to registered attendees based on their registration type, professional designation, and completion of the required online evaluations for sessions attended live or viewed on demand.

The transcript accompanying the certificate serves as the official record of all CE/CME credit earned at ADCES26. Participants may claim credit commensurate with their participation.

Credit Claiming Deadlines: The Evaluation Continuing Education System is open Friday, August 7, 2026 - Monday, January 11, 2027, for credit claiming. Credit cannot be claimed after this date.

Registered Dietitians
Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR): CDR Credentialed Practitioners can receive up to 48.5 Continuing Professional Education units (CPEUs) for completion of this activity. Completion of this RD/DTR profession-specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (One IPCE credit = One CPEU). If the activity is dietetics-related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours (One 60 minute hour = 1 CPEU. RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Log.

Registered Nurses
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC): The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists designates this activity for a maximum of 48.5 ANCC contact hours. Pharmacotherapeutic content is under review for credit allocation. The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 10977, for up to 48.5 contact hours.

Nurse Practitioners
Per the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board reciprocity agreements, nurse practitioners may claim contact hours accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or CME credit accredited by the American Academy of Physician Associates for sessions attended at ADCES26. When applicable, pharmacotherapeutic hours will be identified in the ANCC accreditation statement and on the learner’s certificate of completion transcript.

PAs
The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 48.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Pharmacists
The Universal Activity Number for each session will be provided to learners on their transcript upon completion of an evaluation. ADCES26 has been approved for up to 48.5 contact hour(s).

Physicians 
American Medical Association (AMA): The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists designates this live and enduring activity for a maximum of 48.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive _2.0___ general continuing education credits.

Per ASWB’s Approved Continuing Education Program (ACE), sessions that are less than 60 minutes each are not eligible for ACE credit. The 2.0 continuing education credits listed reflect the (2) 60-minute/ sessions available at ADCES26. 

MCHES and CHES Credentialed Attendees
Sponsored by The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®) to receive up to 48.5 total Category I contact education contact hours. Maximum advanced-level continuing education contact hours are 48.5.

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists
To satisfy the requirements for renewal of certification for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be diabetes related and approved by a provider on the CBDCE list of approved providers (www.ncbde.org). CBDCE does not approve continuing education. The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) is on the CBDCE list of approved providers.

Other Health Care Professionals
It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the program meets the criteria for relicensure or recertification for their discipline.
