Description:
This two-day, interactive course engages participants through a series of case-based exercises and discussions related to real life scenarios for each pathology. This active learning approach is further enhanced through the practical exercises where advanced surgical correction skills will be practiced using real implants and spine models with human anatomical specimens.
Online self-directed learning: During the 4 weeks before the in-person event, participants must complete short self-study modules that will provide the necessary theoretical background and surgical technique description to obtain the most from their course.
Goal
The course covers advanced techniques for managing complex spinal deformity in adult and pediatric patients. It provides hands-on training to apply knowledge and technical skills, focusing on complex cases in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), adult IS (AdIS), de novo scoliosis, sagittal and combined deformities, revision in adults, and high-grade spondylolisthesis.
