AO Spine Advanced Level Specimen Course - Cervical Trauma is organized by AO Foundation and will be held from Oct 27 - 28, 2026 at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Madrid, Madrid, Spain.

This AO Spine Course comprises 1.5 days of lectures, case discussion, practical exercises and hands-on practice on human anatomical specimens. Learn from experienced faculty members. Participate in the case discussions and sessions. Take advantage of their hands-on expertise and guidance. Six working stations with an instructor and four participants to fully interact with each other.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

  • Classify a cervical traumatic injury following the principles of AO cervical injuries classification system 
  • Identify the best stategy to treat a particular cervical injury, taking into account the status of the patient 
  • Perform the advanced cervical surgical techniques taught in the course step by step 
  • Define a plan to prevent complications and the way to solve them if necessary
