Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

• Review dental/medical histories with the added objective of seeking opportunities to perform Acupressure.
• Recognize when health or emotional factors may contraindicate acupressure.
• Describe the foundations of acupressure including Meridians, Qi, the Five Element Theory, and Major Points.
• Perform basic Acupressure techniques designed for relaxation and pain management in the dental environment.
• Determine which staff members are best suited to perform this specific alternative modality and how to plan for this component of the appointment.
