The 3rd Annual Tucson Transplant Symposium provides a focused, full-day educational program for transplant clinicians, surgeons, nephrologists, coordinators, and allied health professionals. The event opens with leadership introductions followed by two morning keynote sessions addressing major topics in transplant medicine. Additional presentations cover viral hepatitis in transplant recipients and updates on living donation and outreach, with several sessions pending speaker confirmation. Afternoon sessions highlight practical clinical topics, including post-transplant nutrition and metabolic health and cardiovascular screening considerations for kidney transplant patients. A multidisciplinary panel will discuss contemporary immunosuppression strategies, including belatacept versus mTOR inhibitor selection, frailty-adjusted approaches, emerging antibody-mediated rejection therapies, and equity challenges affecting rural and underserved transplant populations.
