This year’s Anatomic Pathology Update will focus on recent advances in the fields of head and neck pathology including thyroid pathology, as well as general cytopathology. The conference aim is to provide a course covering the most recent recommendations and practice guidelines and a space to further refine overall diagnostic skills for general practice pathologists.

We are delighted to announce our distinguished keynote speakers will be Dr. Yuri Nikiforov, vice-chair for Molecular Pathology and director of the Division of Molecular Anatomic Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Dr. Jennifer Brainard, section head of Cytopathology and program director of the Cytopathology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Our keynote speakers will discuss important advances in thyroid diagnostics, cytopathology, and best utilization of molecular studies.

Additionally, the course will feature presentations from University of Utah and ARUP Laboratories faculty who specialize in head and neck pathology and general cytopathology. Given the breadth of these topics, we will also hear from lecturers with expertise in bone and soft tissue pathology, gynecologic pathology, breast pathology, hematopathology, and molecular pathology.
