The second edition of the MI-O Congress will take place in June 2026 , to present and discuss the important topics of obstetrics, for maternal, fetal and neonatal well-being from a preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic perspective based on the latest scientific research, clinical evidence and best practices.

The 2026 program will focus on fetal growth and well-being in the main obstetric syndromes: preeclampsia and intrauterine growth retardation, premature birth, and gestational diabetes.

But that's not all: childbirth and cesarean sections will be presented with a systematic approach, critically reviewing evidence and guidelines, with comprehensive presentations on approaches and indications, diagnostic, obstetric, and surgical techniques in various clinical conditions.

Monitoring maternal and fetal well-being , a constantly evolving topic where new ultrasound and haemodynamic technologies challenge and complement our old cardiotography, will be our passion in the courses and readings, to stay informed and also to concretely know how to implement what can now be considered part of best practices.

We won't forget to discuss prevention , touching on lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise, the microbiome, and recommendations for supplementation. These topics are now widely demonstrated to play a role in reducing adverse pregnancy outcomes. This includes the prevention of mental distress, a topic that has been heavily featured in new Italian and international guidelines.

The Congress focuses on emerging topics, such as new vaccine developments , diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and alloimmunization diseases with emerging therapies.

MI-O is aimed at professionals in the obstetrics and gynecology fields with an educational format of thematic lectures, round tables, workshops and laboratories to encourage the increase in both theoretical and practical knowledge and clinical debate.

The conference features both national and international speakers in an interactive, multidisciplinary setting, addressing crucial issues related to mother-fetus health care during pregnancy.
