28th intensive infectious disease course of the German Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (DGPI) is organized by Congress Organisation C. Schafer (COCS) GmbH, German Society of Pediatric Infectiology / Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Padiatrische Infektiologie (DGPI) and will be held from Sep 24 - 26, 2026 at Julius-Maximilians-University of Wurzburg, Wurzburg, Bavaria, Germany.

Description:
The iiK is aimed at practicing physicians and those working in hospitals who wish to update themselves on the current state of diagnostics and therapy of infections in children and adolescents. 

Under the title " Old Wine Put to the Test – Is it Medicine or Can it Be Discarded? ", we examine myths, dogmas, and traditions in pediatric infectious diseases. The aim is to demonstrate where current data opens up new avenues in diagnostics and therapy – and where established practices continue to be valid. 

Our venue allows for plenty of interaction and discussion during the lectures, as well as informal collegial exchange during the get-together on the first day and during breaks in the university's beautiful atrium. Würzburg is known for its expertise in wines of all ages, but this vibrant Franconian metropolis on the Main River has much more to offer.
