21st Annual HIV CME Symposium: Tough Decisions Made Easier - Current Challenges in the Treatment and Prevention of HIV is organized by David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and will be held on Mar 17, 2026 at The California Endowment, Los Angeles, California, United States of America.

Description:
This one-day symposium is designed to provide participants with relevant, reliable, up-to-date information on the clinical management of HIV-related issues including: management of people with HIV with new or simplified treatment options, management of HIV related complications and the use of antivirals for the prevention of HIV in those at-risk.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify best practice for vaccinations of persons with HIV, including new insights on the use of modern Hepatitis B vaccination strategies
  2. Recognize the opportunities and challenges with solid organ transplantation, bone marrow transplant, and CAR-T therapies in persons with HIV
  3. Identify the challenges facing United States public health and where to find reliable sources of public health information
  4. Identify novel HIV treatment agents in the development pipeline, with a focus on long-acting and extended-release agents and regimens
  5. Describe recent advances in HIV Prevention, including use of Lenacapavir for PrEP and updates to post-exposure prophylaxis guidelines
  6. Describe the data, guidelines, and limitations of the use of DoxyPEP for STI prevention
