Description:
This meeting is intended to develop the professional skills of academic general internists and others interested in medical education, research, healthcare delivery and policy, and clinical general internal medicine. Various learning modalities, including lectures, workshops, and poster presentations, allow attendees to develop a personalized educational experience. Evidence-based best practices, research findings, interesting clinical cases, and skill-building opportunities that address issues important to academic general internal medicine will be presented.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this CME/MOC activity, participants will be able to:

• Identify skills needed to implement actions that lead to tangible change and outcomes for their patients, practices, hospitals, and communities
• Advocate for and effect real-world change on behalf of their patients and the practice of academic general internal medicine
• Identify ways individual physicians can serve as advocates for equitable access to care
• Describe changes to clinical practice based on updated guidelines
