Respiratory Rehabilitation (RR) is a fundamental non-pharmacological treatment for almost all patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions, and it is transversal to the various areas of Pulmonology: from oncological, pleural, interstitial, neuromuscular and, obviously, obstructive diseases, with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease being the one that gathers the most scientific evidence.

As is well known, both nationally and globally, access to RR (Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation) is still very limited, and there are still many barriers to overcome. The best way to do this is by publicizing the benefits of the intervention and encouraging more healthcare professionals to dedicate themselves to this area. Only in this way will it be possible to increase the number of existing programs and help more patients.

The SPP's Working Group on Rehabilitation aims, with this initiative, to address these problems and take the first step in what will certainly be the beginning of an excellent, multidisciplinary, and international annual scientific meeting, where the latest scientific evidence developed in rehabilitation can be shared, as well as ideas, projects, experiences, and challenges.
