Description:
The Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPQIC) invites perinatal health care professionals from across Nebraska to attend the 11^th Annual NPQIC Summit: Rooted in Quality. The Summit is a dynamic, practice-focused program designed to strengthen quality improvement skills and enhance care for mothers and newborns.

Summit sessions will include breakouts focused on rural- and urban-specific topics, maternal substance use, tools for connecting with parents of neonates, and more. Attendees will also experience a powerful live simulation demonstrating trauma-informed, respectful care and explore real-world challenges through interactive breakout sessions on breastfeeding culture, parent engagement, and rural and urban care delivery.

By integrating patient perspectives, practical tools, and meaningful networking opportunities, the summit equips participants to improve communication, increase patient satisfaction, and drive sustainable quality improvement in hospitals across the state.

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

1. Discuss how to implement interdisciplinary strategies to improve maternal and infant health outcomes at the population level through statewide collaboration and quality improvement efforts.
2. Describe trauma-informed care practices that improve respectful care delivery for patients and families.
3. Outline quality improvement methodology for application in perinatal health clinical settings.
4. Integrate patient and community perspectives into perinatal care and systems improvement initiatives to reduce disparities and enhance population health outcomes across Nebraska.
5. Describe trauma-informed, team based care practices that promote respectful communication and collaboration among interprofessional care teams to improve outcomes for birthing patients and families across care settings.
6. Apply core quality improvement methodologies within interprofessional perinatal care teams to identify gaps, test changes, and implement sustainable improvements in clinical practice across Nebraska hospitals.
7. Analyze patient, family, and community perspectives in partnership with interprofessional colleagues to inform equitable perinatal care strategies, reduce disparities, and strengthen population health outcomes through statewide collaboration.
