This course is intended for practicing radiologists. At the conclusion of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Discuss spectral CT imaging and learn how to incorporate into routine clinical practice.
  • Explore applications of MR imaging with regards to the hip.
  • Review commonly missed fractures of the extremities through case examples.
  • Discuss common and uncommon causes of facial pain.
  • Discover the importance of carefully evaluating the heart on non-gated CT studies.
  • Review UIP and non-UIP patterns of interstitial lung disease.
  • Review common surgical and endovascular procedures, their expected imaging findings, and complications.
  • Describe renal cell carcinoma and ccLS.
  • Explain contrast enhanced breast imaging: what are the indications, how to use in diagnostic problem solving, and how to anticipate questions from patients and referring providers.
  • Review common benign breast diseases and the management of breast pain.
  • Consider the environmental impact of medical imaging and contrast media, including the potential for pollution and its disproportionate effects on marginalized communities.
  • Explain how to avoid common errors in managing contrast reactions.
  • Explore how cultural and socioeconomic factors may influence patients' experience with and responses to contrast media.
  • Identify indications, pathologies involved that may bind PSMA, and recognize when dedifferentiation has occurred in PSMA PET imaging.
  • Describe the role of Anti-amyloid therapy imaging in diagnosis, therapeutic eligibility, and adverse event monitoring.
