Description:
During the conference, as every year, we will focus on topics related to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of various types of hearing disorders in children, including congenital middle and inner ear defects, single-sided deafness, partial deafness, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, etc. We will look at the progress in the development of cochlear implant technology and various aspects of their use in pediatric patients, as well as methods that help predict hearing outcomes after cochlear implantation. We will also pay attention to still little-known areas, such as tinnitus in children and auditory processing disorders, auditory hypersensitivity or misophonia, as well as issues related to the diagnosis and co-occurrence of these disorders.
There will also be topics from the area of genetics, pharmacology, phoniatrics, as well as issues bordering on otorhinolaryngology and such fields as allergology, pediatrics, orthodontics or psychology. We will also pay attention to increasingly advanced diagnostic techniques, including the possibility of using artificial intelligence and therapeutic techniques, thanks to which it is now possible to significantly limit the effects of the negative impact of hearing disorders on the proper linguistic, intellectual, emotional and social development of children.
