Torque in Orthodontic Treatment

Torque in orthodontic treatment is organized by Orto-fan Kursy and will be held on Nov 22, 2025 at Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland.

Description:
The course will combine theory and practice.

The theoretical part will present current knowledge from the world literature regarding the importance, application and safety of tooth torque movement in various systems and appliances as well as future prospects.

The practical portion, which comprises more than half of the course duration, will involve performing various types of torque bends on various types of quadrangular archwires, including nickel-titanium, steel, and Gummetal. Participants will observe live archwire bending and then master practical bending for single teeth, for groups of anterior teeth, as well as progressive torque bending and torque bending on an orthodontic loop.

To participate in the classes you need to have the following tools:

• 2 identical pairs of Angle\Tweed forceps
• Distal cutting forceps
• Weingart's forceps
• Needle holder
• Probe
• Ligature cutting pliers
• Protractor
• Young's forceps
• Fork and needle holder
