OVERVIEW

Stem Cells: Environmental & Metabolic Control of Stem Cells & Development is organized by The Symposium Office and will be held on Dec 04, 2025 at MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences, London, England, United Kingdom.

Description:
This joint British Society for Developmental Biology (BSDB) and Genesis Research Trust (GRT) symposium aims to bring together and grow the community working on the in vitro modelling of development and metabolism, by inviting current and future leaders from across these fields to share ideas and discuss key topics for future research.

Stem-cell based models of embryo development have flourished over the past decade. These models recapitulate in culture fundamental aspects of gametogenesis and peri-implantation remodelling events, as well as organ development and function. Critically, they enable experimental approaches to unravel the molecular basis of human developmental disorders and infertility and delineate the importance of metabolism and environmental perturbations.
