We are delighted to welcome you to this year's SAPC Conference in Cardiff. The conference brings together primary care researchers and educators from diverse backgrounds and regions, with a shared commitment to improving primary care through research, education, and innovation.

This year's theme, "Adaptable Primary Care: Embracing New Approaches and Adjusting to Diverse Needs," underscores the importance of flexibility and responsiveness in our field. As primary care professionals, educationalists, and researchers, we are continually challenged to adapt to the evolving healthcare landscape and meet the varied needs of the populations we serve. This includes navigating changes in policy, funding and workforce environments, which require us to be innovative and resilient in our approaches. This conference provides a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaborations, and showcasing the latest research that embody this adaptability.

We have an exciting lineup of plenary speakers who will share their insights with us in relation to the conference themes. The11th Helen Lester Memorial Lecture is scheduled for the end of the second day of the conference. We are immensely grateful to all our speakers and chairs for their contributions. Following delegate feedback from previous years, we have reverted to printed poster presentations allowing you multiple opportunities to view and engage with the excellent poster submissions.  We continue previous conferences' successes with creative inquiry workshops that encourage innovative thinking and collaboration, as well as the Dangerous Ideas Soap Box, where bold and provocative ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum.

In addition to the academic program, we are delighted to offer an exciting social program designed to foster connections and celebrate our community. A highlight of this year's conference is the Gala Dinner at the National Museum Cardiff, which includes a drinks reception in the impressionist gallery. Our social program also features craft activities and a guided run or walk through Cardiff's Bute Park, allowing you to enjoy Cardiff while connecting with fellow attendees.

Whether you are a seasoned researcher, early career researcher, an educator, or a practitioner, we believe there is something here for everyone.
