The 2025 Congress will provide you with many invaluable opportunities to network with your peers and respected leaders in the field as we collaborate on shaping the future of STI and HIV in a sexual health vision. We need your participation to ensure rich and vibrant discussion at the sessions and events throughout the Congress.

We sincerely hope that you will accept our invitation and join us in Montreal in 2025. Together, we can make significant strides in advancing the field of STI, HIV and sexual health and contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities worldwide.

Congress Goals:
On the 50th anniversary of the WHO’s first report on Sexual Health, to organize and implement an international, inclusive Congress to advance sexual health through its programs and activities, with particular focus on sexually transmitted infections.

This Goal Will Be Achieved By:
Advancing Comprehension and Raising Awareness: Increase comprehension, awareness and understanding of current challenges, trends, and innovations in the epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of STIs, HIV and other blood-borne infections.

Promoting Knowledge Exchange: Facilitate an inclusive environment to share knowledge, new research findings, and best practices among STI/HCV/HIV specialists, family physicians, gynecologists, urologists, infectious disease specialists, virologists, molecular biologists, nurses, behavioral researchers, technicians, pharmacists, engineers in artificial intelligence, policymakers, trainees and others.

Nurturing Collaboration and Networking: Foster collaboration and networking opportunities among diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and community organizations, to enhance the collective awareness and responses to STIs and HIV.

Integrating Community Engagement: Promote community engagement and involvement to ensure that the perspectives and needs of affected communities are integrated into research, prevention, and treatment strategies.

Encouraging a Multidisciplinary Approach: Encourage multidisciplinary interactions and discussions by bringing together experts from various fields, including medicine, public health, social sciences, and advocacy, to address the complex challenges posed by STIs and HIV.

Offering Support: Source?scholarship support from sector partners and organizations to provide opportunities for participants to attend who are not able to source alternative funding or are facing financial hardship, to promote engagement from colleagues and trainees in low- and middle-income countries.

Congress Objectives:
Share Cutting-Edge Knowledge: Provide a platform for researchers from all sectors, to discuss the latest findings and innovations in the field of STIs and HIV, Disseminate the meeting information obtained through various venues and strategies.

Facilitate Advocacy and Improved Policies: Facilitate discussions on evidence-based policies and strategies to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of STIs and HIV at local, national, and global levels.

Enhance Knowledge: Enhance the knowledge and skills of scientists, clinicians, healthcare professionals and community workers through workshops, training sessions, and educational programs focused on STIs and HIV.

Build leadership through invited presentations, abstract reviews, organizing committees, chairing sessions and opportunities for discussion and engagement.

Engage community workers and professionals in a knowledge sharing process so as to catalyze the process of knowledge transfer within the communities

Encourage Early Career Participants: specifically encourage new and early career clinicians, researchers, scientists, allied health professionals, educators, and community workers particularly from LMICs, to attend and participate in the meeting and to create specific opportunities for these attendees to network and learn.

Promote Inclusivity: Ensure the inclusion of diverse perspectives, populations, and experiences in discussions and decision-making processes to address disparities in STI and HIV outcomes.

Increase Youth Engagement: Create avenues for youth participation and engagement to address the unique challenges faced by young people related to STIs and HIV.

Promote Global Collaboration: Encourage international collaboration and information exchange to address the global nature of STIs and HIV, considering regional variations and challenges.

Reduce Stigma: Develop and share proven strategies that help reduce stigma and discrimination associated with STIs and HIV, fostering an environment that encourages open dialogue and destigmatizes testing and treatment and improves access to care, and prevention

Raise Funds for and Provide Scholarships: Raise funds to provide scholarship opportunities, especially for participants from low- and middle-income economies and, for those who might otherwise not be able to present their work due to financial constraints.
