Rural Health Workforce Development Conference is organized by University of Missouri Continuing Education for Health Professions (CEHP), Missouri Rural Health Association (MRHA), University of Missouri Extension (MU Extension), University of Missouri School of Medicine and will be held from Apr 01 - 02, 2025 at Wyndham Executive Center Columbia, Columbia, Missouri, United States of America.

Rural Health Workforce Development Conference:
- Day 1: April 1, 2025 - 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Day 2: April 2, 2025 - 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Purpose:
MO Healthcare Workforce Summit: Incorporating Stay Interviews into your workforce development strategies can be a highly effective way to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational performance. A Stay Interview is a proactive conversation with employees to better understand why they remain with the organization and can also provide insight as to what might make them leave. Stay Interviews can help you identify areas for improvement and ideas for adjusting your workforce development strategies.
This event offers interactive experiences and leadership development coaching on Stay Interviews including; 1) How to implement; 2) How to Integrate into your Broader Workforce Development Strategies; and 3) Measuring and Evaluating Effectiveness. Most importantly, you will leave with tangible resources to assist you in leading your organization!
The Rural Health Workforce Conference provides professional development, sharing of best practices, and mentorship opportunities that are key to successful recruitment and retention of rural health professionals.
This will be an avenue to provide:
- Hospital administrators with information on rural recruitment/retention strategies, and community engagement
- Faculty development for individuals who teach health-profession students
- Networking for rural-health professionals to share and showcase best practices
- Residents and students with information on rural opportunities and to prepare them for rural practice (i.e., rural residencies, rural leadership, etc.)
- A venue for residents/students to present relevant rural-focused research projects
- Professional development for rural-health professionals, administrators, and preceptors
- Recruitment opportunities for rural hospitals
- Recognition of rural-health champions in Missouri

Nursing Contact Hours
University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Participants may earn up to 9.25 contact hours.
LPC, Social Work, Psychology, 50-minute hour CEs
The University of Missouri Continuing Education for Health Professions (CEHP) is part of an accredited university in the state of Missouri. As such, this program meets the requirements for Licensed Professional Counselors, Psychologists, and Social Workers with Missouri licenses. CEHP attests that this program contains 9 clock hours of instructional time. Licensed professionals measuring CE credit based on a 50-minute hour may claim up to 10.80 Contact Hours for full attendance at this program.
Additional credit may be added for other disciplines, please check back at a later date.
Current ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) rules state that participants in CE activities should be made aware of any relevant affiliation or financial interest in the previous 24 months that may affect the planning of an educational activity or a speaker’s presentation(s). Each planning committee member and speaker has been requested to complete a financial relationship reporting form for the Missouri Primary Care Association Workforce Summit or the Rural Health Workforce Development Conference.
