PEM Boss Course, the Paediatric Emergency Expert to Expert on line Forum 

An innovative and interactive 1 day program of 8 concurrent modules that provide consultant to consultant facilitated peer review discussions on topics vital to the practice of Paediatric emergency medicine. Groups are engaged in a round table discussion. Each group rotates through all modules throughout the day.  Faculty include FACEM PEMs, a paediatric Surgeon, a Neonatologist, Social worker, Paediatrician and more!

• 50 shades of fever – the febrile infant
• Management of complex child trauma 
• The challenging adolescent in the ED 
• Neurological conundrums
• Optimisation during resuscitation and pre-retrieval management 
• Conditions peculiar to childhood/infancy (Eczema/food intolerances)
• The challenge of congenital cardiac conditions 

PEM Boss has been created by adding a 3rd day to the hugely popular 2 day PEM Course.
Day one and two will introduce the foundations of clinical reasoning in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and includes short and sharp sessions on wide range of paediatric topics to a wide range of audiance.

PEM Boss is delivered by a faculty comprising leading experts practicing in each of the fields, including Neonatologists, Paediatric Neurologists, Paediatric trauma educators and, alongside renowned educationalists with current roles as Directors of CED and Directors of Paediatric Emergency Training across a number of institutions.  

The 6-8 models will represent a high leverage CPD activity for Staff Specialists working in the mixed EDs/Rural centres,  Children’s ED, and Children’s wards that cater for sick children.
