The 2025 Orange Beach Spring Break Seminar is a nurse anesthesiology continuing education seminar featuring opportunities for hands-on point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUs) practice. This seminar features a unique program that will benefit any CRNA’s practice.

This Seminar Features an Optional Hands-On Point of Care Ultrasound Workshop!
At this seminar, we are offering a two-day POCUS workshop that will teach CRNA’s realistic applications of portable ultrasound and provide 4 Class A CE credits. The workshop is offered over the course of two days (March 21-22) and will be held at the conclusion of lectures that cover the didactic portion of POCUS education. Hands-on POCUS stations will include opportunities to scan airway, pulmonary, cardiac, gastric and abdominal structures.

The optional workshop will feature:

• Low course participant to faculty ratio
• Four hours of hands-on practice scanning with live models 
• Curriculum designed to teach high yield applications of POCUS for nurse anesthesiologists

What can you expect to learn?

• Fundamental principles of ultrasound technology and basic operation of portable ultrasound machine
• Techniques to perform focused diagnostic ultrasound examinations at the bedside, including imaging of heart, lungs, abdomen, and more
• Practice interpretation of normal and abnormal ultrasound images
• Mentored scanning with experienced faculty to learn hands-on imaging techniques
