Masters in Ophthalmology Annual Meeting 2025 is organized by Florida Society of Ophthalmology (FSO) and will be held from Jun 06 - 08, 2025 at Waldorf Astoria Orlando, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Activity Overview:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum for ophthalmologist to learn the most up to date information in ophthalmic medicine covering the subspecialties within general ophthalmology to strengthen the knowledge and skills of ophthalmologic professionals and to improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the ophthalmologists’ obligations to identify, report and effectively assist victims of domestic violence.
  • Discuss strategies to prevent and mitigate medical errors and create positive patient outcomes.
  • Discuss how to integrate new skills and techniques for advanced and mature cataracts.
  • Recognize angle anatomy and how one may go about performing their first MIGS surgery as well as pearls for success.
  • Describe the Episcleral Venous Fluid Wave (EVFW) as an intraoperative finding and understand how and why the quality of the EVFW correlates with outcomes.
  • Discuss artificial intelligence applications for diagnosis and management of retinal diseases.
  • Describe the mode of action and applications of new evaluations and treatments for a variety of previously untreatable conditions.
  • Identify factors that increase the probability of errors in medical malpractice.
  • Recognize the continuum of brow, eyelid skin, and blepharoptosis and the varying treatments for improving each condition.
  • Identify the common and uncommon lesions that affect the eyelids and ocular adnexa.
  • Review techniques for treatment and reconstruction of eyelids after tumor removal.
  • Discuss recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
  • Identify major advances in key areas of cutting-edge research and technology in ophthalmology.
  • Review current and emerging therapies for the management and treatment of various ocular conditions.
  • Recognize the complex contributors to global blindness and pathways to improved eye health for all people.
  • Discuss volunteer opportunities to provide ophthalmologic services internationally.
