With rapid change in the field of cancer immunotherapy, Frontiers in Cancer Immunotherapy 2025 aims to shed light on promising novel therapies for cancer patients. While the field has seen many successes over the last few years, challenges remain in understanding the basic biology of some tumor types and in identifying targets for developing novel therapies.

The development of cancer immunotherapeutics involves diverse strategies, from activating the immune response through tumor antigen vaccines and cytokine treatments to neutralizing immune suppressive mechanisms with immune-checkpoint inhibitors. These approaches and innovations, like adoptive cell transfer therapy, offer new ways to engineer the immune system to recognize and destroy tumors.
